Motor liquidation stock has large trades. It is known that it has residual value of tax loss carry over of the past GM losses. It also has value of foreign subsidiaries that US government has no jurisdiction over their territory by bankruptcy court actions.

But still Larry summers talked funny Sunday on TV, not knowing the true financial assets GM held abroad. US government can only wipe out domestic bond holders. And US government can not buy all the foreign assets owned by foreign governments by giving money to GM. foreign government bond holders can still freeze all GM assets for lack of bond repayments.

So, the stock value is muddled by the white house and its knowledge of GM assets.

But at this price per share, GM can buy back all their tax loss carry over. If indeed they are the buyer of the trades at the specialist's window at NYSE; then astute investors will buy in too.
