OT: Your new PC.

Peter,

During the past week, either HP or ATI has automatically upgraded the drivers for my Graphics card which I thought was a 1GB of GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 4650.

The new drivers included one for Direct3D - a capability that I didn't know that I had in the card; it also says I have 4091MB of HyperMemory.

Any idea of what HyperMemory is? And how a 1GB card got transformed into 4GB???

As I'm not a gamer, I don't intend to switch to the 3D driver. I believe if it "ain't broke, don't fix it."
