Very interesting post; thanks for finding all the links.

I have had the feeling that the shale gas bonanza is too good to be true. The Economist had a piece about it two weeks ago which focussed mostly on the potential. After reading the latest Paramount presentation I thought about buying some more shares, possibly even selling some PWE to do it--a really contrarian move on the face of it, selling accessible light oil to buy gas, as it were--but have not done anything yet. Paramount is up 15 cents or so since, but that is an insignificant amount if the idea is right. (I expect PWE to do well over the next year too because they are just starting to drill several hundred new wells with good prospects--that is if things go as planned.)

Two points from the GMO letter and that blog made an impression on me, Grantham saying that the whole point of investing is to be aware of bubbles and to react, and the other guy pointing out that most people have no clue about portfolio management, which in essence is the same thing..unfortunately it applies to me too.
