Shoeshine boy alert: I was checking out at Office Depot today when one of the floor clerks walks up holding a wheeled 3 drawer plastic storage unit, saying "I've only got three left - $3 and it's yours." I took him up on it, and remarked that this was a truly 3rd world experience with people coming up to me with stuff to sell, starting on a story about how I bought a bunch of US silver dollars one time from a guy in Bali. Whereupon the subject changed to how he just started investing in gold and silver, thought it was the next big thing, he preferred silver, etc. I finished checking out, nothing much to say. FWIW
