Like I said before: standard politician boilerplate language to say "everything is on the table". They all do it to avoid being painted into corners.... (But, of course, you are also ignoring the OTHER OFFICIAL statements out of the WH that no VAT is under discussion or being considered at all....) Main thing Obama said today in connection to this was that he would make no comments about 'how best to reduce the deficit' until he had received and reviewed the report coming from the bipartisan deficit reduction commission... which will be a public report of course.)
