"Stephen Hawking Says Aliens are Coming To Get Us" I haven't seen the show. But, he has a point. The history of civilizations coming in contact has always resulted in sadness for the one that is technologically inferior. Take the Maori in New Zealand. Despite a rocky start, the Kiwis have tried to be respectful of the Maori and keep their culture from overwhelming the Maori. Yet, the Maori have a lot in common with every other native ethnic group around the world with drug abuse, high crime, high unemployment, domestic abuse, etc. That may be why galactic civilizations are spaced far apart.....at least I hope they are. Did I tell you that Hawking gave a talk at A&M recently? No. Did you go?
