Republican Gov. Charlie Crist will declare he is running as an independent in Florida’s race for Senate at a news conference tomorrow, Fox News and other news outlets report. Crist's campaign issued a statement on Wednesday morning indicating that the Florida Governor will officially announce the future of his candidacy at a "qualifying event" in St. Petersburg on Thursday at 5:00 pm. huffingtonpost.com
