Ted, you know the answer...there is a lingering unenlightened segment in America and it's attracted overwhelmingly to the GOP. These are matters intended to rouse emotion in folks vulnerable to such tactics. Imagine Switzerland making language a political issue... I would give my eye teeth to know another language fluently and these bozos have their fingers up their ass bambling all I want for XMAS is English. I keep hoping evolution will help them catch up but evolution is just too damn slow.
