This article from SETI is in response to Hawking's concerns about meeting up with extraterrestrial life. In reading the article, it dawned on me that if you figure we have been sending out signals for say 70 years and assuming that aliens are not ignoring our signals, its probably safe to assume that there are no extraterrestrial civilizations within 30-35 lite years of Earth........1/2 of 70 broadcasting years. What do you think?
