Then that's what they should do rather than mandate personal habit changes. But we've just had health care "reform" where even private insurance can't charge more for higher risk clients


I think what we need is less regulation and fewer restrictions - in other words, we need the government to step out of the way. Allowing insurers to compete across markets would introduce healthy competition and help keep rates where they belong, without anyone usurping the "right" to manipulate them.
