CAUTION: QCOM..While I know that QCOM will beat the street, QUALCOMM rose $2 1/4 to $65 1/8 on expectations for its upcoming earnings release.. You could expect this to cause QCOM to MAYBE be downgraded solely on valuation come earnings.. I sold my QCOM today for the third time in 3 days and I will be the first to buy back if I see another surge, but it happened today to TLDCF.. I was able to enjoy the 4 points of a 6 point gain the other day, but I remember when I wasn't so lucky with TSEMF so I thought I would pass along a lesson painfully learned. Put in very tight protective stops if you are buying anything in anticipation of an earning surprise or perhaps anything at all.. My way is to buy a fixed amount of option contracts and never go beyond 20 contracts no matter how certain I am of a surprise or any anticipated move of a stock.. You might be very 'surprised' indeed if you don't.
