Calamity in the Gulf [My 2¢]

As I read & watch Shep Smith on FoxNews hyperventilate over the "disaster" in the Gulf I keep hearing that worst case scenarios are that the impact will be several billions of dollars. Almost every MSM outlet is making this the latest cause du jour hammering BP & we greedy gas guzzling conservatives with this new environmental "disaster".

Yes it's a huge disaster. Yes if BP was negligent they should be appropriately punished. And yes, we should do everything humanly possible to stop the flow of oil into the Gulf & clean up the mess ASAP.

But I wonder..... The cost impact will be in the 10's of billions at worst & that's horrific. Indignance is understandable. So where's the outrage & indignance over our gov't wasting TRILLIONS of taxpayers dollars on one massive boondoggle after another [multiple bailouts, multiple stimulus, health care, massive growth in entitlement spending, the soon to come "Cap & Trade", etc]. What about the epic disaster we face from this horrific misuse of resources?

Not a fracking peep in the MSM!

The Obama Admin is wasting thousands of times more money on his boondoggles than will be lost in the oil spill in the Gulf, yet the latter is already been covered hundreds of times more than the time spent discussing the TRILLIONS we are wasting on Obamanomics.

Is it me or are our priorities completely screwed up?
