That's why Obama set up the independent commission to make recommendations on how to get the deficits down. SOMEBODY's got to start making the TOUGH calls and BOTH Partys are TERRIFIED that it might have to be THEM... Greece and the rest of the PIIGS are going through these WRENCHING decisions right now because they LITERALLY can't pay their bills. We in the U.S. have been able to avoid our reckoning because we can just PRINT money and we still have the world's largest economy which makes us "too big to fail". If we're gonna get out of this mess the Democrats are going to have to agree to spend LESS and the Republicans are going to have to agree to tax MORE. At least until we get our ship of state righted once again.
