aww, shucks. but really... it does surprise me, maybe it shouldn't, how disconnected so many Americans are with where that stuff in the grocery comes from. For many, they can get more into the fisherfolk. oh, the beauty of it... dudes on the open seas in their boats, waves crashing, blahblah. fool in the chicken plant sticking their hand in that tiny butt over 20 times a minute to pull lungs out (we dun like to think about lungs) is just not so quite romantic? and a Diablo song... youtube.com I dunno know about bringing back the military draft. but maybe people should spent a couple months at a chicken plant or where they cut up cows or pigs. and a couple months cleaning houses... houses of very rich people who don't know their names. and a couple months picking fruit or cotten. perhaps.
