The claim was that Obama did not raise taxes, and that 34% of Americans thought he did. Those 34% where right, if it shows ignorance from the general population, its only because the percentage is so low, not because it is higher than it should be. Finding a place in the world with no taxes has exactly nothing to do with this point.

Yes, it has everything to do with this point. Your whole attitude about taxes suggests that taxes are an unnecessary evil imposed upon you by a godless society that wants to make your life miserable. The truth is that taxes are a necessary evil that are needed to run the gov't and provide the services we consider important. All these numerous posts on whether taxes are going up or down are pointless. As long as the population continues to grow and we continue to demand better and better and more and more services, taxes will go up. That doesn't any of us happy but griping about it just becomes annoying and serves no purpose.
