Well, it seems this silicon is known and acknowledged as viable by "other" sharp DSL companies in the local area.
Also, speaking with Rockwell, they are serious about getting ITU, and I suspect that they will.
Will this wind up a serious threat for ADSL? If it plays out as Rockwell has presented it, I would tend to think it will be a contender - because it will offer another flavor with ease and low cost of installation (buy and plug). And if put into a DSLAM, it'll fit interchangeably with existing equipment. But the ace in the hole may be the plans for by-passing the DSLAM and installing directly into the CO switch. If you know Rockwell, you know they aren't some new-comer engineering co. They have serious engineering talent, still from the defense days. I personally wouldn't write them off, Norman - and more especially if I was selling splitter-based ADSL.
