My concern that we have a chorus that does not make any sense from both the ends of the political spectrum. One is "Drill baby drill" and the other is "Stop drilling." For a nation that has successfully landed humans on the moon and brought them back safely, it is shame that they have not yet figured out how to drill oil safely and securely. The best of engineering brains from this country have conquered the vast expanse of space but have yet to conquer the planet and the ocean floor they live on. And we are a lost generation that have gone astray from the Kenneydyesque approach of a nation where we asked "Why not". Instead we are saying let us cut our losses and run.
