Not at all. How humanity ought to best structure a moral society is of concern to all decent people. Lately, I've been reading John Rawls and he has surely come up with an interesting approach to social justice. Basically he sets up a hypothetical state of what he calls the original position which is theoretically a position without any prejudice or bias that a person imagines himself in without any known job, money, race, color, etc. etc. In this original position a person then must consider what would be rational to desire in society.

Even though he comes in for his share of criticism, it is still thought provoking and can give one a central focus on certain core values.
