There are, amazingly, liberals who believe that inflation is the "cure" for our national debt. Just give it 40 years at a few percent inflation, and it starts to look like not much.

Of course, the gorilla in the room is the fact that there is zero percent chance of us EVER reducing the deficit (particularly when you count SS & Medicare, which we conveniently ignore), let alone reducing the debt.

No, as bad as inflation is, the way runaway national debt is ultimately eliminated is much more painful.
