That's pretty obvious CS :) Not only is on-line ordering limited in terms of who can get online, but also they are limited by how many people are willing to use credit cards and other payment over the internet. I'm atypical in that I've had no problems paying by credit card over the internet, but some of my tech friends still prefer not to do it. More importantly, though, many people like to see a book, feel it, and briefly look through it before buying it. The revenue from online sales, IMHO, will never surpass that done in the real world for that reason. The online world will get a lot of book orders when the books are very expensive, specialized, and non-impulse buys [for example, college textbooks and required technical books for professionals].

So we have a smaller market (as obvious by looking at AMZN revenue [even projected] vs B&N + Borders) and then good competition even within that smaller market.
