Interest rates won't stay low forever. RMB appreciation plus job loss in manufacturing due to nearby Vietnam / Indonesia / Philippine competition in producing basic goods necessities will deflate the Chinese housing a lot further. Not to mention the potential political crisis in Korea peninsula and the talk of nuclear conflict there will give you irrational response. People may earn less & less, save less & less ... I say the mainland folks will invest in foods & back to the rural land in farming to support themselves. BTW, Do you think the highrising will stand a chance in a big earthquake ? I think there will be plenty of layoffs in the high-tech industry in China. The PRC will invest heavily in military aerospace & defense. Maybe a healthy strong male can land a job as a foot soldier.
