you're missing the point... what karl was saying is there is no real LIQUIDITY....volume does not equal liquidity, computers trading shares back and forth thousands of times a day, then suddenly a big sell order and whooops no BID! so the computer goes seeks one out until it's found and THATS how you get stocks trading for a penny this incident was demonstrating the fragility of a CONTRIVED SYSTEM quote i just picked up on TF, sorry no link: JOE SALUZZI, CO-MANAGER OF TRADING AT THEMIS TRADING IN CHATHAM, N.J.: "The markets have been leaking all day, but it should not have dumped like that. Everyone walked away. There is no real liquidity out there, it's all machine and phantom."
