The incident was very bizarre. I had CNN on in a PIP and CNBC on the screen. The CNN window showed live shots of the Greek police standing peacefully in rows as crowds gathered and demonstrated. Suddenly riots erupted and the police went beserk. At about the same time CNBC switched to Athens and showed the same scenes.

Greece should never have joined the EU. It wasn't ready. Now they are going to go through a very painful period. And the same divisiveness that afflicts this country.......between the haves and have nots.......is present in Greece. The have nots believe the haves have been ducking paying their incomes taxes and its why the gov't is running a deficit. As with most explanations, its a bit simplistic.
