I am becoming ever more conversant with consumer protection law here. Just today filed a bankruptcy where an elderly widow without much education was flim-flammed in a way that she can't explain. The loan documents require her to pay $1000 per month interest on a $22,000 loan! I'd rather fight it in bankruptcy court, the judges are specialists in contracts and secured transactions.
