In the long run, on the scale of geological time, this won't matter much, but we all live in the short run.

I am from South Louisiana (almost equal time in New Orleans and Baton Rouge until age 37).

My dad loves to fish so spent many an hour on the Mississippi River or out in the Gulf of Mexico, a lot of time out by the rigs catching red snapper and such, watching sea birds flying and enjoying the breeze.

I love to swim in the ocean. My favorite place in the world (not that I've seen much of the world in person) is what they call the Redneck Riviera, the Florida panhandle.

Was hoping to go to Grayton Beach with the boys this summer, as they are both graduating but no jobs yet. I guess we will have to go elsewhere. Maybe the Adriatic?
