Thanks for posting, but honestly, I didn't glean anything new from this "news." It was fairly evident that a VZW iPhone would not be forthcoming until 1Q2011, give or take a month or so. So, what's it to AAPL & AT&T if exclusive license is extended another 6 months. Big deal.

iPhone, when released with VZW, will most likely be LTE compliant. Personally, I think it's a good business decision not to roll out a CDMA-only iPhone in June just prior to VZW launching LTE networks in several markets in the US before year end.

LTE will initially be used by VZW for its "Mobile Broadband" service, with the introduction of LTE phones in 2011. Given the reputation iPhones have for placing huge bandwidth demands upon a wireless network, I think it's a good decision by VZW & the iPhone manufacturers, to delay the iPhone's release with VZW until 2011.
