Re -- I think that this situation with the $1000 PC will play out the same way.

No doubt. Intel's lower ASP's last Q, was due to the pentium classic fire sale. The media and the analysts, have a tendency to add 2 and 2 and come up with five, and proclaim they are right (Its their business entertainment thro' controversy). In fact, I suspect they were really dissappointed when the sell-off last monday did not continue.

DELL's results should either prove or disprove this myth of $1000 pc soon.
