I would label all scientists and engineers as freethinkers even though only about 60% are atheists or agnostics. Every inventor, not necessarily those who own patents, must be a free thinker. Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin were certainly freethinkers.... All artists must be freethinkers... If it weren't for freethinkers, Brumey et al would still be sitting on the back of a plow and living like the Taliban.
