I'm someone who didn't sell his NN north of $60 (or north of $55 for that matter) but I must confess to tiring of the analyst conspiracy theories as well. The fact is on all threads whenever an analyst makes a mistake (and some of them are beauties) it's immediately documented by the "Wall Street is worthless crowd". However, on any of these threads when do you ever see praise for an analyst when he/she is right? The fact is that the best money mgrs. use analysts as a conduit to mgmt., nothing more, nothing less. Good analysts have unmatched access to senior mgmt. and can be useful in that regard. Also when a good analyst (I've never heard of the guy at J.P. Morgan securities) gets torched it's a likely sign of mgmt. disinformation which needs to be considered.
