Oh, I believe he was Hawaii born. Local papers reported his birth. What has happened here is that there is an issue about his legitimacy and/or Father that he wanted to hide. He should have released it at the start. But he didn't, and "like Topsy," it "growed."

My theory is the real father, reflected on the birth certificate, is Frank Marshall Davis. Obama has constructed an elaborate life story and written a book, "Dreams of My Father," centered on the myth that his father was Kenyan. Disclosing that his real dad was a dissolute communist would show Obama to be the fraud that he is.
