But back in the day GS did loose money on mortgages. You been smoking the GS stuff? This is the lipstick GS spin departments are trying to put on their ugly pig - but it still is an ugly pig. Sure lose a little money on mortgages but because you bet big time by shorting housing in your derivatives you make many more time what you lost in mortgages. Steve
