It seems the latest news which rallied the markets is that EU will be raising a ton of (borrowed) Euro's in order to... "help" the Euro. Additionally, our kindly Fed will be lending money to Europe (of course, before we lend that money, we'll first have to borrow it, since we don't have it). Some of the money going to Europe will come from IMF - which, of course, is funded to a large degree by the US. ERGO - we'll have the honor of funding the "free" European government healthcare, their 6 week vacations, pensions, etc.

One probably must be a government economist to see how this may possibly make any sense whatsoever.
