RE: Kagan

I was watching the news hour tonight. I swear that their is a conspiracy going on to keep the world from knowing what Kagan is all about. For example - is she against Roe vs Wade? All I hear is hoe sensitive she is and how she can "reach-out" to conservatives.

Hey!!! The Dems get to appoint liberals, and the Pubs get to support conservatives. But they are keeping a super tight lid on Kagan. Suggests to me that she is a screaming liberal. One thing about not having been a judge is that there is record of decisions to document her attitudes. I think it is the strategic default equivalent of Supreme Court appointment process.

For my taste, this business of keeping the military from recruiting JAGs from the Harvard Law campus says a lot. I have no problem with her working to change policy in the military or anywhere else....writing papers...giving speeches...attending rallies. Banning recruiters from campus!!!! Awfully heavy handed, presumptuous, self centered. dictatorial, etc. Imagine trying to get a promotion or tenure at Harvard Law if you didn't actively support her policies.

BTW: Too many folks from Harvard w/o any real world experience. Much too cluby. Didn't Larry Summers work at Harvard? What does that tell you. ;-)
