I used to use air travel. Something I will avoid now.

The main problem is the volcano has made air travel unreliable, you just don't know when flights will be cancelled. All this crapola with security has also put the dampers on it.

It is now faster and more reliable to travel anywhere in the UK by train or car. I used to fly from Glasgow to Gatwick to get to the southern end of England.

To get cheap flights, ones that were cheaper then the train or car, you had to book up months in advance. NO WAY will I risk my money on that process.

I also prefer other air passengers to test the technology and processes to bypass ash problems.

My car can be used to measure the ash problem. There was not much dust on it the first week air travel was disrupted. There has been more dust on it recently. It's only a ground level measurement of course. I may have to wash it more frequently, maybe as much as once per month -g-
