Thank you for pointing out the jaguar was imaginary or allegorical.

The problem we face, as investors, is the same problem faced by every apex predator, every keystone species, when the environment changes: the adaptations that worked magnificently for our previous environment, now don't. At every market turn (topping or troughing), investors do Herd Behavior and FightOrFlight. It never works, and we never learn. The fact that we never learn, is proof that this behavior is instinctual, hardwired, and decision-making is happening in the chimp (or lizard) parts of our our brain.

<your last paragraph left me wanting... Actually not the conclusion I expected>

What conclusion would you expect?
