From Briefing.com this morning:

One area that has really amazed us with its resiliency is the Internet stocks... While the market has returned a risk premium to much of the tech sector (albeit a relatively small one), traders remain romanced by the promise of the Internet... Stocks like AOL, Yahoo! and Excite continue to trade at outlandish valuations measures... AOL jumped over 6 points Wednesday in anticipation of a positive earnings surprise in today's announcement (after the close)... Street looking for $0.12, but whisper numbers in the $0.15-$0.17 area... Almost no way for stock to win the earnings game given the inflated expectations... And at over 80x earnings, any disappointment could lead to serious trouble for shareholders.
