Al, I don't know anything about this preacher and I don't care a whit about your gossip on him. I've already commented on the issue of hypocrisy which is completely separate except in your mind where one hypocrite in a conservative crowd proves something about all conservatives professing to live by moral standards ... it simply does not prove any such thing. It only demonstrates your discomfort with the idea of people professing to live by moral standards, a discomfort you can't explain except through your hatred of those people, which is really just about you, not them. WRT the case of the preacher hiring a gay laborer, however, report the preacher and the hired man gave was that there was nothing sexual involved. Your yellow gossip doesn't make sense under those circumstances. A young gay for pay guy could make his fortune selling the story you are sniggering about, so why would he deny it and say it was just a labor job?
