I think you may be jumping the shark there.

To get a SS # *he did* provide a legal birth certificate --- same as anyone else would have to when applying for a Social Security card to be able to work. (Same as I did, same as you did, etc.)

This would have had to be back in the early 'seventies for him, (when he applied for SS #), right?
