Okay, you're backing away from ID .... good, but you'd be better off denouncing it as heresy.
-----------------------------------------------
<Nobody knowledgeable thinks that anymore.>
Right. Making your point incorrect (that it's current dogma).... which you've shown by your inability to show ONE biologist saying such.
I have not said that current dogma holds that cells are "bags of water". That position is the straw man you erected. The only thing I've said is that biology textbooks vastly understate the complexity of cells.
------------------------------------------
<But let's not imply they're consciously reasoning. Unless you have evidence of that.>
Those are words everyone, including scientists, need to define: "concious reasoning" for example, but intelligence and all that as well.
Got a written scientific source that says cells employ conscious reasoning?
-----------------------------------------
<Cells, otoh, maybe they do fit the robot paradigm better. If you have evidence otherwise, I'm open to it.>
Or we could say... if you have evidence cells are robotic, I"M open to it!
Wait a minute .... you've asserted cells reason and essentially possess free will .... I think that needs to be supported.
I don't need to provide evidence of no conscious reasoning, no free will possessing cells for your claim to prevail. The more extravagant claim should be defended. |
