First of all, there is no indication in the post that it was a personal experience.......you just dropped it into the middle of your post without an explanation.
Not true... from the post>> "This is an absolutely true accounting of a conversation I had with my daughter a few years ago." Message 26531860 ----------------------------------------------------------------- "And frankly, it sounds a bit far fetched......I mean, the teacher told your kindergarten aged daughter that all Americans are druggies."
I can appreciate that it sounds far fetched especially to someone who isn't a part of the cultural changes that are taking place all around us for the past couple of decades but it is an absolutely factual account without exaggeration. And for the record that is not exactly what I said.
"Come on.....its sounds like a conservative fantasy fueled by too much imagination. Anyone of those statements you claim your daughter made would be grounds for the teacher's termination."
And yet it is not a fantasy, it is fact. Not every thing and every place matches the mainstream sheltered communities you inhabit. This is why you mess up so much, you refuse to accept or even consider anything that does not fit exactly into your fixed left wing view of everything. You imagine Rightwing agendas where they don't exist, you assume way to much and simplify things that are complicated to the point where you end up drawing dumb, uniformed conclusions about things you don't have or want to have facts for.
It was a school catering mainly to a few ethnic types, and largely to immigrants. It was an international school. Part of the format included providing a decent culture, protected from those risks of mainstream society mentioned in the post. That sounded good to me but the authorities went way too far in exactly the way I described. It is a common ocurrance throughout America where many such programs exist both public and private. I've checked, have you? This one happened to be private.
You are simply out of the loop on this stuff, you are too far up on the bandwagon to notice what is going on with the real people down here on the street. Mainstream culture has largely disappeared or never appeared for these subcultures with satelite tv, where homeland programs, language, and culture are available for anyone and which are a deterant to assimilating to any Americanism. Subcultures don't need or want to be a part of any United thing in the States of America.
It is common to hear a foreign national immigrant say they will never allow their children to become Americanized. I come across people all he time who've been here for years and don't speak English or know anything about the land they live in except what they were told by the foreign media. Those are the modern facts tejek, if you like them fine but they are refering to people who live an 'alternative lifestyle' like some of your buddies here when they express their hatred of Americanization. At the top of their list of Americanized stuff to spit on and get rid of soon are the types of things you embrace. Know that much as you are bandwagoning for it, or at least bother to take a real look at the situation for your self. |
