"just that their users probably did not want or expect that outcome."...Actually,it could well be that they DID want that outcome as the computer programs made a TON on the swoon and recovery.. And a good question/comment made in your post.The flash trade front-running is a tax on all investors,eliminates true price discovery,and ultimately drives legitimate investors out.The real purpose for Stock markets and Stock Exchanges has been destroyed. The truly damnable thing is the the front-running computers thing is so blatant..and accepted by the authorities.. regards,P1976
