"No president, including Bush, has had to deal with such humiliations ... Everybody looked into Bush's College days, private stuff as well as the official record. His National Guard years were an open book gone over with a fine tooth (barbed) comb and commented on non stop...even producing false records that were widely publicised. You know that, now why would you say such a dumb thing? None of those people just disappeared though. "Eight of the defendants phoned on Wednesday did not return messages or had disconnected lines. Lage declined to comment. A woman who answered the phone at Kline’s home in West Branch said, “I’ll pass the word along.” Thats weird. If they broke the law then they should be prosecuted but I hope nothing untoward happens to them in the mean time.
