For once, try opening your mind. I know, it might be uncomfortable to break out of your "us vs. them" shell, but the foundations of a free and open society are at stake here.

Bottom line is that I'm for more openness in government. Repeated requests for trite info like Obama's birth certificate are stupid, but to pass a law like what Hawaii did goes against the very idea of open government.

If they're annoyed by said requests, I can write a program for them that automates whatever response they are legally obligated to give to the "birthers." And if I can, so can hundreds of thousands of other people in American society, some of whom could use the work.
