5/14/10 Update Apparently, they put HAL in charge when I was traveling and he took his revenge. Well, what do you expect from a misanthropic computer? At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.42% YTD (vs. up 8.46% YTD two weeks ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 4.11% YTD (vs. up 11.53% YTD two weeks ago) but the better-performing Contest median was up 13.00% YTD (vs. up 16.98% YTD two weeks ago). JACKH's portfolio (up 38.66% YTD) is our new leader with the portfolios of PD53 (up 35.01% YTD) and FRED (up 34.84% YTD) in the runner up positions. At Friday's close, there still were 29 of the 32 Contest portfolios in the black with an astonishing 26 of the 32 topping the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the two weeks since my 4/30 update (foreign stock prices are not converted to US$ in these two tables). Enjoy a Wall Street-free weekend biotechies! (All corrections, especially adjustments for splits, greatly appreciated.)
