Again, assuming that it happened at all, which is in question because there is no way to be sure he even existed, it is a practice that still exists in the region. In fact, Islam was a significant improvement of the treatment of children and women than what was common in the region prior to the establishment of Islam. To the point that now the act you allege Muhammad to have engaged in would be prohibited now.
