That is bullshit, horseshit, and pigshit. He CHOSE to take the class to get qualified in his chosen field. Different lines of learning have different prerequisites that are deemed by masters in the field to be necessary to master the competencies that will be required.

All Graduate Degrees at ALL Universities require that the degree be organized about certain required courses and the rest are electives. To use the word "forced" coupled with your outburst of seething rage is to betray a misuse of language and a deeply rooted psychological problem. All goals in life have requirements. If the grocery store is across the bridge and you can't swim, the engineer who built the bridge is not forcing you to walk on it. You're walking on it because you're going for groceries. Have the authorities ever "forced" you to go for anger management??
