Agreed. The day of the swoosh, some folks came over for dinner and bemoaned the carnage in their retirement and other equity focused funds. I'm not sure why they ask me to join them in bemoaning the situation. Every time they do I grin and note that we were net positive for the day due to a solid concentration in gold. The second I mention gold, they shut up as though I've just farted in the room and not noticed it, or something worse. Besides....as I said, it's Prechter. What's his track record as a percentage of calls/trades made?
