I think what the Left wants a SC justice who has published numerous controversial articles and made numerous controversial rulings from the bench. And if such a person exists, I doubt that they would get confirmed.

I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for, but that kind of person can get confirmed on the right.

I don't agree. I think that all the R senators would vote against confirmation and a number of Dem senators as well. I think this country is still firmly center right.
