I have some experience in industry, but not in the oil biz though. I wonder if BP were just extremely "unlucky" or if some of the unsafe practices followed by the subcontractor have been more widespread? That this is just one of those instances where what was guaranteed to happen, "happened"??

I am a prospective BP shareholder btw. It's just that I am careful with my money amongst other things. I am not buying in just yet.
