Nice anecdote and I believe it is like you say for most job seekers out there, this is a tough time to be looking for a job. Even in your example though, you used a guy who IS working and successful as a substitute teacher. On the other hand that anecdote doesn't respond even in the slightest way to what I posted nor does it explain your unemployment over the past two decades when their was a strong economy and a serious shortage of teachers.
